Prosecutors charge three men with string of armed robberies
LARAMIE (AP) -- Four young people from Casper face felony charges in connection with recent armed robberies.
Circuit Court Judge Michael Vang in Laramie ruled Tuesday that prosecutors had presented enough evidence to require three of the four to stand trial on charges alleging that they robbed a Laramie convenience store on Nov. 9.
Vang ordered Kasey C. Miller, 19, Aren P. Cobia, 21, and Heather Street, 17, all from Casper, bound over to Albany County District Court.
Cobia and Street, who is being charged as an adult, are charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery, aggravated robbery and possession of a deadly weapon with unlawful intent.
Miller and a fourth suspect, Skylor J. Eberhardt, 19, who was not present at the preliminary hearing, are charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery.
Prosecutors in Casper also have charged the three men in connection with a string of armed robberies that took place in Casper over the past two months.
Court records in Casper state that Cobia, Eberhardt and Miller all face multiple counts of aggravated robbery and conspiracy in connection with the robberies there of convenience stores and a pawn shop.
According to police, the three men told detectives they participated in robberies of convenience stores in Casper in October. Police say they also acknowledged trying to rob United Pawn shop in Casper on Nov. 2.
