Come help make Alzheimer’s disease a priority in Wyoming
The Alzheimer’s Association Wyoming Chapter is looking for volunteers to join its annual Day at the Capitol advocacy event.
The Day at the Capitol is a powerful way to ask our state leaders to make the fight against Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia a priority in Wyoming. State legislators make decisions that impact the everyday lives of those living with dementia and their caregivers. These decisions may change things like:
How funding could affect the level of services our friends and neighbors depend on
How much you pay for health insurance
What services you or your loved one may qualify for (including Medicaid)
What home- and community-based services are available in Wyoming
The availability of telehealth throughout the state
State legislators need to hear from you this budget session! Your experiences can help them make good decisions that will support Wyoming families living with dementia.
We will provide everything you need, including training before the event on how to advocate your local lawmakers. All you need to do is bring your Alzheimer’s story and a willingness to tell it, and together we can make Alzheimer’s a priority in Wyoming.
