Artist Phillippa Lack poses for a photo with one of her pieces on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019, inside her home in Cheyenne. Michael Cummo/Wyoming Tribune Eagle

Phillippa Lack’s home is a shrine to artwork past, present and future.

Before our interview, she warned her house would be messy because she’s preparing for a mid-December art show in Fort Collins, Colorado, but a better description would be organized chaos. It’s the type of scene you would expect to see in a textile artist’s home studio – dyes, fabrics and other materials strewn about, but never in the way of guests – a welcome retreat from the bland white-walled offices lined with filing cabinets that so many of us work in.
