Always spray for bugs on the underside of the leaves, where most pests hang out. Use non-toxic sprays before you try harsh chemicals. Even a hard spray of water can temporarily control bugs by knocking them off for weeks, if not forever. Less-toxic insecticidal soap also works well. Pests such as aphids populate exponentially, being born pregnant and giving birth in only a matter of days.
