How to place an obituary in Wyoming Tribune Eagle

Funeral homes often submit obituaries as a service to the families they are assisting. However, we will be happy to accept obituaries from family members pending proper verification of the death.

Death Notice:

A death notice can publish one day in print and online at no charge. The notice can include a photo of the person and specific details which can be found on the submission form. There must be a clear connection to the Wyoming Tribune Eagle coverage area of Cheyenne, Burns, Pine Bluffs, Carpenter, Albin, Wheatland, Torrington and Chugwater. Full obituaries are charged based the number of words and the number of publication days. Pricing starts at $95 for 149 words. Paid notices include an online guestbook on, permanent archive on and publication in our “In Loving Memory” printed section at the end of the month. It is requested that funeral homes use


Death notices and obituaries are due by 3:00 p.m. MST Monday through Friday for next day publication with Sunday obituaries requiring submission by 3:00 p.m. MST Friday. The Wyoming Tribune Eagle publishes five days a week, Wednesday through Sunday. Be aware that some holidays may alter deadlines. Payment is required before deadline.
