Adrian Lamont Miller, 32, also known as “A” by loved ones, departed this life Aug. 5 at home. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandson and cherished friend.
Adrian was born July 19, 1987, in Pittsburgh to William C. Miller Jr. and Cheryl Pendleton Harris. “A” was baptized at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church and participated in youth church and choir.
Adrian was active in baseball, football and ran track. After graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Cheyenne, where he served in security forces for six years and received several achievement medals. He then served in the Air National Guard.
After leaving the military, he worked in a variety of industries: the U.S. Postal Service, FEMA, oil and gas rigs, railroad and banking. During his time in the Air Force, “A” met and married his wife of 13 years, Angel Adams. They were blessed with two daughters, Adrianah and Aryiah Miller. Adrian loved spending time with family. He loved fishing, playing video games, riding his motorcycle and learning to play guitar. He especially enjoyed time spent at the park with the girls.
He would often join his grandmother, Dawna Hill, on their motorcycles for a trip to Starbucks.
“A” was honest, protective, loving and supportive as he touched the hearts of many people with his compassion and willingness to help others.
Adrian is survived by his wife, Angel; daughters, Adrianah and Aryiah; mother, Cheryl Pendleton Harris; father, William C. Miller Jr.; and stepfather, Leon Harris Jr.; one sister; one brother; stepbrother; many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins; sister-in-law, Amber Woody and family; brother-in-law, Anthony Adams; and grandmother, Dawna Hill and her companion, Patrick Allen.
Services were held in Pittsburgh.
