Judy F. Arciniega, 74, of Cheyenne passed away Oct. 7.
She was born May 22, 1945, in Baltimore.
Judy graduated from the University of Northern Colorado. She was a full-time mother of three and a job coach with LCSD1 for 24 years.
Judy was known for her tireless devotion to family. She loved to travel with great pride supporting her kids and husband through many years of swimming and other activities. Judy became a second mom to many of her children’s friends and teammates. In 1981, she was selected Young Mother of the Year. Judy was also one of the first female Eucharist ministers at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
She was a woman who fought many battles throughout her life. She did so with a quiet tenacity and an uncommon grace.
Judy is survived by her loving husband, John Arciniega; sons John I. and Travis J. Arciniega; daughter Angie L. (Mat) Wood; and her grandsons, Keigan and Derek Wood.
She was preceded in death by parents, James and Betty Ford; and brother, Jay Ford.
A funeral liturgy will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
