Karen L. Pope, 51, of Cheyenne died Oct. 29 in Cheyenne.
She was born June 8, 1967, in Rochester, Minn.
She was a loving mother and wife, devoted to her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling to warm destinations, taking walks outdoors, sharing stories, riding bikes and the Wyoming mountains.
Karen was a graduate and valedictorian of Cheyenne’s Central High, received her BA in Spanish at the University of Wyoming and a master’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado. She was a dedicated Spanish teacher in Cheyenne schools for 26 years and truly enjoyed her work as she built strong bonds with both her students and colleagues.
