Sharon “Kay” Grammer, 79, of Casper passed away July 6 at Wyoming Medical Center.
Kay was born Nov. 15, 1939, in Moweaqua, Ill., to Roy and Esther (Burriss) Jones. When Kay was 26 years old, she committed herself to the Lord and enjoyed reading His word. Kay was very gifted in music and dreamed of being a pianist. In 1979, Kay fulfilled her dream of living in the West by moving to Casper.
She was employed with Mountain Bell for many years before retiring. Kay enjoyed making quilts, decorating cakes, reading and spending time with her family.
Kay is survived by her daughter, Maria Baca; son, Bob Grammer; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Teresa Heger; son, Roy Allen Grammer; and grandson, Robert Todd Grammer Mays.
The family will receive guests from 10 a.m. until the start of service Tuesday at The Fort Ministry, 4741 W. Yellowstone Highway in Mills. Burial will follow at Wyoming Memorial Gardens with a reception to follow at the church.
