Student biographical information:

Nathan is new to Cheyenne, having moved from New Mexico this summer.

Nathan maintains high test and GVC assessment scores. He participates in Carey’s cross-country team and belongs to the Math Counts Club, Spelling Bee Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

During a recent national Rubik’s Cube competition, Nathan ranked third-fastest in the United States.

Members of the nominating committee said Nathan is an exceptionally bright student who is always respectful, engaged in each lesson and helpful to those around him. He embraces any group setting, and is supportive and encouraging to all members of the group.

“(Nathan) excels in and out of the classroom in all he does,” Carey Junior High Assistant Principal Jessie Meyer said. “Most of all, he is an outstanding young man who is an excellent mentor to everyone.”
