CHEYENNE – Cheyenne Fire Rescue responded to a three-story multi-unit apartment complex fire Sunday morning in the 2900 block of East 12th Street.
Firefighters responded to the call around 11:22 a.m. Sunday with a six-minute response time, and they stayed on the scene until about 2:18 p.m., according to a news release. The fire’s cause isn’t known at this time, and it’s still under investigation.
The fire was mainly contained in a room on the first floor of the apartment complex, and firefighters worked hard to make sure it didn’t spread to other areas of the apartment. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire in just under 25 minutes.
There weren’t any reported injuries, though three people were evaluated, and the complex was evacuated when firefighters arrived. The damage amount to the complex is unknown at this time and a cat was found in good condition.
Other responding agencies were American Medical Response and the Cheyenne Police Department. The American Red Cross helped one adult who was displaced by the blaze.
