CHEYENNE – A Cheyenne man was arrested Thursday evening for allegedly stabbing his brother with a steak knife and hitting another victim with his car when he tried to flee the scene after law enforcement was called.
Isaiah Diaz, 22, of Cheyenne, was arrested on two counts of aggravated assault with injury, reckless endangerment and domestic battery, according to a release from the Laramie County Sheriff’s Department.
Diaz and his brother were allegedly arguing over a vehicle when Diaz stabbed his brother just after 5 p.m. in the 3200 block of South Greeley Highway. After he stabbed his brother, he was trying to flee the scene when one of the trailer park’s managers tried to stop him. He hit this person in the legs with his car.
The brother and other victim’s injuries are not life-threatening. The brother was taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for treatment, according to the release.
After he fled the scene, Diaz was found at Afflerbach Elementary and was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center, where he is currently still in custody.
