CHEYENNE – Janet Marschner of Cheyenne is no stranger to the Wind River Indian Reservation in Fremont County.

For the last five-plus years, Marschner has been making weekly trips to the reservation to assist with the feral dog population there. Estimates vary that there are between 4,000 to 8,000 feral dogs on the reservation. In April of last year, a Native American woman was attacked and killed by dogs while riding her bike on the reservation.
