CHEYENNE – Gov. Mark Gordon and the Wyoming Wildlife Foundation are raffling off a Governor’s Bison License for just $10 to Wyoming residents who are eligible to hunt in the state.
“I wanted to give any Wyoming citizen who enjoys hunting or who has ever considered hunting a chance to experience this time-honored Wyoming tradition,” Gordon said in a statement. “Hunting not only provides food for a family, but also gives a fabulous way to experience our wildlife in Wyoming’s amazing outdoors. And what could be more authentic than hunting North America’s iconic bison?”
The Governor’s Bison License raffle will allow one Wyoming resident to win a license for just $10. All the proceeds from the raffle sales will go toward Wyoming’s wildlife and habitats.
“We are incredibly grateful for Gov. Gordon’s belief in sustaining Wyoming’s wildlife and outdoor spaces,” Tony Woodell, director of the Wyoming Wildlife Foundation, said in a statement. “The dollars raised in raffling this license will directly impact the animals and landscapes around the state we all care so much about.”
All Wyoming residents who are eligible to hunt in Wyoming can enter the raffle. Tickets are limited to one per person, and the bison license is non-transferable. The winning ticket will be drawn during Cheyenne Frontier Days.
