CHEYENNE – St. Joseph’s Food Pantry will change the pickup location for its monthly distribution of supplemental food boxes to eligible seniors in need starting Feb. 21.
The monthly nutritional boxes, part of the USDA’s Commodity Supplemental Food Program, will be distributed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. every third Friday of the month at the pantry, 206 Van Lennen Ave.
Eligible seniors can also receive weekly groceries from the pantry.
The Commodity Supplemental Food Program is a USDA program designed to improve the health of low-income people at least 60 years of age by supplementing their diets with nutritious foods.
To get weekly pantry groceries, residents need to bring a photo ID and proof of address, such as a utility bill or rental receipt, to the pantry. The pantry is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
