Nagle Warren Mansion Bed and Breakfast

The bed and breakfast offered at the Nagle Warren Mansion ceased to operate last month, mansion owner Jim Osterfoss said Monday in an interview.

Osterfoss, who ran the bed and breakfast for 22 years, said the Oct. 1 closure will allow him to do things he hasn’t done in years.

“It was time to move on,” Osterfoss said. “It’s something I loved doing, and we did very, very well at it.”

The mansion, which was constructed in the late-19th century, was owned by F.E. Warren’s family in the early 20th century.

The mansion will now be sold on the open market. Osterfoss said it could be sold as either a private residence or as a bed and breakfast.

“I want to know somebody is going to take good care of it,” Osterfoss said. “It’s such a jewel for the city.”
