CHEYENNE – Wyoming Secretary of State Edward Buchanan is leading a national policy committee for the National Lieutenant Governors Association.
NLGA is the professional association providing research and issue-exchange opportunities to the officeholders first in line of succession to governor in all 50 states and U.S. territories. Buchanan is the gubernatorial successor in Wyoming.
Buchanan is serving as co-chairman of the NLGA Committee on State Strategies. According to a news release, the committee drives work to advance effectiveness and efficiency in state and territorial government.
“This committee promotes the exchange of views on state and territorial issues and fosters interstate cooperation,” NLGA Director Julia Brossart said in the release. “The members of this committee are experts for the association in a range of issues. Secretary Buchanan is recognized as a leader in elections, business services and ever-growing cybersecurity issues.”
In addition to its specific duties, the committee will address issues of mutual concern to all member states.
