CHEYENNE – The Wyoming Campaign to End the Death Penalty 2020 will host a silent march Dec. 9 in Cheyenne to protest capital punishment.
The march will begin at 4 p.m. at the steps of the state Capitol in Cheyenne.
“Despite the movement around the country to end the death penalty, the federal government is seeking to move forward with executions,” according to a flyer promoting the march. “We will silently march around our Capitol building to bring attention to the injustice of the death penalty, to honor the victims and to fight for true justice.”
After the march, attendees will write to their legislators in Hartman Hall and warm up with a cup of hot chocolate, according to the flyer.
