TORRINGTON – Leland Duane Brown, a Wyoming inmate, died Thursday from long-term health issues at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
Brown was sentenced Sept. 23, 1986, by Laramie County District Court Judge Edward L. Grant. He was serving a life sentence for first-degree murder, and had been incarcerated at the Wyoming Medium Correctional Institution in Torrington.
Brown was born Feb. 26, 1948, in Des Moines, Iowa.
As per departmental policy, an autopsy has been ordered.
