A dear friend and former colleague recently drew my attention to an effort by members of Notre Dame's Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) to train educators relative to "bias, power and privilege" in the classroom.

This set me thinking ... I applaud those folks who through tender hearts want to reach all students (which is what a teacher should be all about). But whenever I hear (as on LCSD1's papering-over-McCormick "diversity day") that I am "power and privilege," I wonder what/whom the presenters are talking about.
