How exciting is this – to have a long-overdue rail system from Cheyenne to Fort Collins?
It was stated in the Wyoming Tribune Eagle, Dec. 16, 2021, that "Cheyenne proposed (to the Build Back Better Regional Challenge) constructing rail service between the city (Cheyenne) and Larimer County, Colorado ..."
It was not accepted, and though a rail service should have been done long ago in modern times, the fact that it is being thought of now is promising. The article further states "... (it) will be eligible for future federal funding opportunities enabled by the infrastructure bill. ..." So, the rail service idea may not be dead.
Let's hope a rail service is put on the docket for future funding opportunities. The future needs to be now!
