DOWN to elected state and federal officials for failing to get federal CARES Act money to community hospitals and other health care facilities in a way that best prepares them to deal with this and future pandemics.

According to Wyoming Hospital Association President Eric Boley, the state has “missed some great opportunities” to improve its health care facilities with this money, which must be used by Dec. 30 or returned to the feds. Boley told a legislative committee recently that many of the state's facilities are aging, and "our ability to treat these patients could have been enhanced and built."
