* WHAT...West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph
expected.
* WHERE...Converse County Lower Elevations,
Ferris/Seminoe/Shirley Mountains, Shirley Basin, East Platte
County and Central Carbon County.
* WHEN...From 9 AM Saturday to noon MDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Mainly to transportation. Strong cross winds will be
hazardous to light weight or high profile vehicles, including
campers and tractor trailers.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around
trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of
your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if
you must drive.

CARBON COUNTY — The Carbon County Sheriff’s Office would like to welcome another new member to their team.
Deputy Travis Starck was sworn in on the morning of Wednesday, March 15, in the District Court of Carbon County.
Starck will be the most recent addition to our patrol division.
“Deputy Starck has a plethora of experience in law enforcement and emergency management, including a previous term of service with the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office,” according to a press release from the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office. “Welcome back Travis, we are excited to have you back on the team!”
