Kelly Walsh 54, Rock Springs 40

CHEYENNE – Junior Olivia L’Ami came off the bench and scored a game-high 15 points to help Casper Kelly Walsh advance to the fifth-place game with a 54-40 win over Rock Springs.

The Lady Trojans (9-15) also got 13 points and seven rebounds from Sofia Hof and 10 points each from Rachel Franke and Emily Erdahl.

Kelly Walsh was 18-for-26 (69.2 percent) from the free-throw line.

The Trojans also held a 44-30 rebounding edge and scored 17 second-chance points.

Stevie Hill and Summer Newman paced Rock Springs (11-16) with 12 points each.

CASPER – Senior Gabby Johnson made two free throws with 11 seconds to play to put the Fillies up for good. Sarah Jones added another with 7 seconds to go for the final margin.

Casper Natrona County (22-4) faces Cheyenne East (23-4) for the Class 4A state title at approximately 6:30 p.m. today at the Casper Events Center.

Sheridan was scoreless in the first quarter, but Alison Geary tied the game with a layup in the final minute.

Natrona senior Kaylee Johnson pulled down 16 rebounds, scored 13 points, blocked six shots and dished out five assists. Gabby Johnson finished with 16 points.

Sheridan was fronted by sophomore Robbi Ryan’s 18 points.

Rock Springs 72, Evanston 70, OT

CASPER – Kellyn Goodrich tied the game with a 3-pointer from the right side with four seconds left to help Rock Springs force overtime and grab a 72-70 win in a Class 4A loser-out game.

The Tigers (15-13) will face Casper Natrona County (12-14) in the fifth-place game at noon today at the Casper Events Center.

Senior Darek Mattinson and Lennon Spence paced Rock Springs with 19 and 18 points, respectively.

Evanston (11-17) got 26 points from Alek Johnson, 13 from Brock Ehlers and 11 apiece from Miles Piper and Gavin Whittaker.
