Cheyenne Central senior Sydney Morrell capped her high school career by winning the 800-, 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs, and placing fourth in the 400-meter dash at the Class 4A state track and field meet in Casper. Her times in the 800 and 3,200 were the fastest of the meet regardless of class.
Cheyenne East sophomore Aleah Brooks went 10-for-12 (.833) with four doubles, three home runs and nine RBI to help the Lady Thunderbirds go 4-0 on the week.
