CHEYENNE – Laramie County Community College third-year sophomore Omar Castruita was named to the United Soccer Coaches junior-college Division I All-American team Tuesday.

It’s the third All-American honor for the midfielder from Boulder, Colorado. He is the first player to earn three All-American distinctions from USC. He scored nine goals and assisted on three others during 19 matches to help the Golden Eagles advance to the National Junior College Athletic Association tournament for the third consecutive season.

Castruita was joined on the men's All-American team by super sophomore wing Carlos Vargas. He scored a team-best 13 goals to go with three assists this fall.

LCCC sophomore Jenaya Brown earned her first All-American honor. The Edmonton, Alberta, product scored 10 goals to go with six assists this fall. The Eagles advanced to the Region IX semifinals. Brown has signed with NCAA Division I Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas.
