CHEYENNE – Header Tate Bishop and heeler Jhett Longwell placed in the top 8 both days in Douglas to open the Wyoming High School Rodeo Association season.

Bishop, who lives in Burns, and Longwell, who is from Thermopolis, were fifth on Saturday, stopping the clock in 11.44 seconds. They were eight Sunday at 10.6 seconds. They are fourth in the WYHSRA season standings.

Carpenter's Royce Breeden (header) and Cheyenne's Kyle Kofron (heeler) split sixth in team roping Sunday (9.83 seconds). Breeden also placed seventh in tie-down roping Saturday at 14.73 seconds.
