CHEYENNE — Hillsdale’s Brody Cress scored an 89.5 to tie for fourth with Kolby Wanchuck during Day 5 of the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.

The 25-year-old saddle bronc rider won $9,144 on the back of Calgary Stampede’s Tokyo Bubbles and remains in first place in the aggregate standings with a total score of 435.5.

Buffalo bareback rider Cole Reiner also finished fourth with an 88.5 on Pickett Pro Rodeo’s Night Flight to net $11,321.

Reiner is in fourth in the standings with 428.5 points.

Amanda Welsh clocked in ninth and out of the money in barrel racing with a time of 13.79 seconds. The Gillette cowgirl sits in fourth place at 69.04 seconds heading into the sixth go-round, which starts at 6:45 today.
